Moon Angel is committed to bringing the culture, beauty, and tradition of Daniela’s home country Brazil to our friends and clients in the United States. This includes not only delicious brigadeiros—Brazil’s favorite sweet—but also the unique and beautiful artwork, sculpture, and artisanal crafts of the Brazilian Northeast.

We import and sell a variety of products, both individually and as part of our personalized gift boxes.

Sérgio Teófilo is a third-generation ecologically sustainable artist. He uses only wood from fallen trees and branches to render his magical and whimsical centerpieces, sculptures, and trays. Inspired by the flora and fauna of Northeastern Brazil, he lends his trademark sense of fantasy and imagination to every unique piece.

The Renasci association of the rural interior of the state of Paraíba, Brazil, is a group of women who who specialize in the unique embroidery style called “Renda Renascença.” Making each piece is an intensive and intricate process that takes days but returns very little to the artist. Most of these practitioners support themselves as agricultural workers even as they work to keep their cultural and artistic traditions alive.
These authentic Brazilian products, including placemats, pillowcases, and table runners, are made using the best raw materials by the Santa Luiza company. These sustainable artists use cotton yarn from recycled fabric scraps. That cotton, which is indigenous to Paraíba, comes in its natural color and no artificial dyes are added. Santa Luiza was the first private company to cultivate this special type of cotton, and it continues to finance that cultivation, generating a livelihood for the families that live in this community.
